Fenris Northgale/Ferris Nothgalea Name: Ferris Nothgalea Age: 23 Weapon: Dagger, Sword, Spiked Knuckles Job: NA Eye Color: Amber Hair: Auburn, falls to middle of back Height: 6'1 Weight: 213 Birthdate: June 9 Birthplace: Junon Blood-type: 0 Appearance: Black leather knee-high boots, black suede pants, saphire blue silk shirt, light blue cloak with ornate clasp and matching arm gaurds, gold earrings Background: As the second, but favorite, son of the wealthy Nothgalea family, Ferris made the most of his childhood days in Junon by doing whatever the hell he wanted to do...whenever he wanted to do it. Free of the responsibility foisted onto the Nothgalea heir, Marcus, Ferris contented himself to running amuck, usually drawing his friend, Riyathena Tsaleroth, along with him. It was a habit that followed him into his youth, but his quick wit and ready smile usually served to keep them both out of too much trouble. As a teenager and when not in Riya's company, which was a rarity, Ferris spent his time frequenting taverns, generally doing whatever brought him amusement which often led to some sort of scandal. Despite frequent warnings from his father, Ferris continued with his playboy lifestyle but after a particularly embarrassing episode involving several daughters of another wealthy family, Ferris was sent to live at his mother's holdings at Costa Del Sol. Knowing his father would eventually relent, Ferris made no effort to change and merely looked on the entire situation as an extended vacation. Unfortunately, his father died before the two could be reconciled so Ferris decided to remain in Costa Del Sol while Marcus rose to take over their family's wealth. Content to live out his days in the posh resort town, Ferris purposefully lost contact with his brother once he received his inheritance and settled down to more important matters. Drinking, wenching and fighting. His ideal existence was shattered when he received word of his brother's death, forcing him to return to Junon. Upon his arrival, he found the family's vast holdings sold to cover Marcus' debts, and the Nothgalea name forever tarnished...Marcus had been killed, like a common criminal, at the hands of a bounty hunter. Changing his name to Fenris Northgale, Ferris began to learn everything he could about the woman and decided to kill her himself rather than hiring an assassin. Determined to avenge his brother and to purge the shameful incident from his family's image, Ferris left his comfortable life behind and set out after the bounty hunter, Silvara Aerindale.Over the course of his travels, Ferris learned what he could about the enigmatic young woman and finally caught up to her in the city of Junon where she had hired her services out to a band of mercenaries. A battle quickly ensued leaving Ferris mortally wounded from one of Silvara's poisoned blades but with Riyathena's insistence the once healer saved her intended victim and through several twists of fate, Ferris soon found himself fighting alongside Silvara to help Rufus ShinRa reclaim Junon from Sierra's forces. However, the fact that they were temporarily joined in the same cause did not deter him from seeking vengeance and the two battled once again, each attempting to destroy each other. The battle was aborted by the interference of Tseng Roen and Reno Marrin leaving Ferris stunned from a blow from Reno's Nightstick while Tseng led a wounded Silvara from the room. They were later both healed by Raven Bladehart and that is when Ferris first began to wonder about Silvara's true identity. As the Cetra's healing powers flowed into the bounty hunter, healing her wounds and restoring her energy, Silvara's eyes began to glow...a trait that was only found within certain bloodlines, including the Nothgalea line. His suspicions were later confirmed when he managed to get a closer look at the pendant Silvara wore hidden under her leather chocker. The rare blood diamond surrounded by a filigree of tiny golden dragons was an exact match to his own which had been a gift from his mother. Silvara was the long lost daughter of the Nothgalea house. Enraged by the discovery that Silvara was not only his sister but had also known Marcus was her brother when she killed him; Ferris reaffirmed his vow to take her life. However, as they continued to find themselves fighting together as allies, Ferris's resolve began to waver...until Silvara attacked and murdered Rufus ShinRa in the forest surrounding the small village, Haven. With his friend's death, Ferris found the anger needed to kill his sister and when Silvara offered her dagger to Raven, intent on letting Rufus's fiancée take her life, Ferris drove his sword into Silvara's body. After the bounty hunter's death, Ferris found himself facing a grieving Tseng in combat and was very nearly killed himself. After trying to summon a Death Wind to defend himself against Tseng's brutal assault, Ferris was knocked unconscious by Riyathena and when he awoke, he found that Silvara had been revived by Raven's powers. After Silvara healed him once again, Ferris learned that she had lost most of her memories, leaving him with the hopes that he might somehow manage to regain the sister that fate had stolen from him.Knowing that it was a futile hope, Ferris contented himself with watching over Silvara, seeking to protect his younger sister from all harm. Thus, when Silvara was kidnapped in Junon, Ferris set off with the enigmatic Velvet to rescue her. Ferris and Velvet used a golden chocobo to travel across the sea from Junon to Costa Del Sol,in their quest to find Silvara. During their journeys, Ferris found himself drawn to Velvet's beauty and hidden pain as his friendship with her began deepening into a truer emotion. Wishing to protect Velvet, Ferris set aside his quest to find his sister and decided to help Velvet face the demons from her past, in order to stay close to the woman he was beginning to love.Ferris NothgaleaLimit SkillsI. Sirocco's Touch- Ferris sends a barage of tiny whirlwinds to spin around his enemies, either picking them up and slamming them around or causing confusion. II. Aero Guard- An invisible barrier of wind that Ferris can manipulate to shield himself (or his allies) or to immobilize his enemies. III. Wind Dance- Ferris summons twin cyclones which can be used to pick up and enemy and slam to the ground or hurl them away from the battlefield, effectively removing them from the fight. IV. Death Wind- Ferris summons a massive cyclone that causes major damage to his enemies, often hurling them high into the air and slamming them down to the ground several times before sucking them into the heart of the twister and casting them from the battleground. V. Aerial Belais- As the heir to the Notgalea family, Ferris inherited the power to summon a host of aerial demons to join him in battle. Should Belais himself, a lesser lord of the demon-kind, appear, he will temporarily merge with Ferris, granting him invincibility and adding his own powers to Ferris's. Since some of his ancestors suffered disturbing side effects due to the temporary possession, Ferris avoids using this limit break and, as of yet, has never summoned Belais.Home To the Club
